announces auditions for
Ajax

The earliest surviving work by Greek tragedian Sophocles, Ajax tells the story of the final day in the life of Ajax, king of Salamis.
In the aftermath of the Trojan War, Ajax, hailed as a hero but afflicted by jealousy, has his eyes set on revenge in this chilling tale of a hero torn apart by the spoils of war.
Audition Dates:
Thursday, September 9– 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. VPA 284-D
Saturday, September 11 – 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. VPA 284-D
Callbacks–Monday, September 13 –5:30 p.m. VPA 284-D

Important information:
- Actors will read selected scenes during 30 minute audition appointments.
- Please familiarize yourself with the play. Copies of the play and scenes will be on reserve in the ECC library.
- Please call 847-214-7188 to schedule an appointment. Leave your name, phone number, requested audition date and time. You will receive phone confirmation of your appointment.
- Rehearsals begin Monday, September 20, 2010 and continue Monday–Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m.
- Ajax opens Friday, November 5 and runs weekends through Sunday, November 21, 2010
